B&B MICHELANGELO
Story
The Michelangelo B&B born in July 2009, when I decided to buy a house in the historic center of Lecce. The name of the street, Via della Sinagoga, intrigued me enough to start a series of research on the history of that place. I discovered that that house had been a Jewish house, as it was located in the heart of medieval Giudecca. From there a great interest developed over time which, thanks to the help of my friend Francesco De Giorgi and prof. Fabrizio Lelli (Hebrew Language and Literature, University of Sapienza in Rome), led me to start a new project: reevaluating the place where it stood the ancient sinagogue and make the Lecce Jewish Museum
That's why the entry ticket at the Jewish Museum is free to the guests of Michelangelo B&B, with a guided tour that will take them on a journey to discover a hidden and forgotten Lecce over the centuries..."
